Description

ADSR (work in progress) is an interactive multimedia composition for four iPads, Max, and loudspeaker. The audience influences algorithmic music by interacting with a digital user interface displayed on iPads. Each iPad controls a different element of an amplitude envelope (attack, decay, sustain, and release). More information coming soon.

Description

Our Structure (2019) is an interactive multimedia composition for small ensemble, digital projectors, iPads, and Max. Text instructions for ensemble members are projected at multiple locations within the performance space. The audience is free to move throughout the performance space and influence the structure of the piece by interacting with a digital user interface displayed on iPads.

 

Marina's Structure

Description

Marina’s Structure (2017) is a structured improvisatory composition for cellist Marina Hasselberg, laptop, and loudspeaker. Instructions are delivered through a series of scripted audio sequences that are triggered by the decision-making of the performer. Form is influenced by the soloist as they navigate through the piece with varied or repeated playthroughs resulting in alternate instructions.

Description

Text Structure (2016) is a structured improvisatory composition for small or large ensemble, laptop, and digital projector. The composition facilitates the organization of musical elements, including pitch, duration, dynamics, timbre, texture, space, form, silence, and power, in real-time via projection of the conductor's text-based instructions. In live performance the audience receives their own text instructions.
